Can drivers proactively upload vision?
No. Drivers can be engaged only by newsrooms, booking jobs on the NewsCar newsroom application based on the confirmation of a breaking story by trusted sources.
What happens if a driver witnesses a breaking "story" before a NewsCar booking?
NewsCar will only deliver vision on demand, and does not second-guess the day-to-day judgement of newsrooms.
Our technology does not accommodate unsolicited uploads of vision that may be considered by non-journalists to be "newsworthy."
NewsCar is not a provider of User Generated Content - but a conduit for video of verified events assessed by newsrooms to be worthy of coverage.
NewsCar delivers content confirmed as authentic by emergency authorities and other reputable informants.

How long will one booking last?
A newsroom booking can last a maximum one hour before a driver has to be booked again via the "Manual Assignment" feature of NewsCar's newsroom application.
Can a newsroom make multiple bookings of different drivers?
Yes. The number of bookings will depend on the extent of first response coverage, and the determination to defeat rival news organisations.
Can drivers receive direction from newsrooms while delivering vision?
Yes. Both the NewsCar driver and newsroom applications feature text messaging to enable direct communication without interrupting the feed. A newsroom can instruct the driver on what to shoot, and coverage duration. The driver can also request direction.
What if a newsroom does not proceed with first response coverage?
If a decision not to proceed is made a cancellation fee will be paid by the newsroom. The full cost will be charged if the vision feed is already underway. The commitment to receiving vision, regardless of its eventual use, triggers automatic full payment to the driver.
Will the Driver App record pictures onto a device's hard drive?
No. The vision will be processed and uploaded via NewsCar's server for download or live transmission by the newsroom.
